School Uniform

UNIFORM AND APPEARANCE

We expect all families to follow our policy for uniform and appearance which offer limited choice while providing practical clothes for the busy school day. Parents who are in receipt of current Free School Meals receive £50 worth of school uniform each year. Those who were once in receipt of Free School Meals can receive £30 worth of uniform. All items of uniform with the official school logo can be purchased directly from the supplier via the school website (www.leftwichprimary.co.uk). However, there is no expectation that children must wear uniform carrying the school logo should parents wish to purchase less expensive options from other retailers.

Children Need:

  • red sweatshirt or cardigan
  • white or red polo shirt
  • black or grey skirt, trousers, shorts or pinafore
  • flat, plain and supportive shoes (no backless, flimsy or party shoes, no trainers, ballet style pumps or high heels) in black
  • a summer school dress in red and white gingham
  • a coat for bad weather

For PE:

  • A drawstring bag
  • House colour t-shirt
  • Blue shorts
  • Trainers
  • Please provide children with black or navy jogging bottoms and tops for outdoor games in autumn and winter
  • Hooded tops with the school logo are available to order.

No shaved heads, Mohawk hairstyle, or shaved patterns on heads. • No gelled, spiked or dyed hair. • No makeup or nail varnish. • Long hair must be tied back. • Jewellery is not permitted, other than a watch. We prefer pupils not to wear earrings, however children may wear stud earrings but they must be able to remove them for P.E. Staff members will not remove earrings. • Mobile phones are not allowed in school. • Smart watches and fit-bits may be worn unless used inappropriately or then become distracting and inhibit attention in class.

There is a stock of uniform held at the Fire Station, and you can try sizes on there so you can be sure you get the right size.
