Hello everyone!

Date: 25th Mar 2020 @ 11:31am

Good morning everyone!

We hope you are all staying safe and well. We also hope you are finding ways to keep busy whilst social distancing and staying at home.

Hopefully your work packs will keep you going for a while. A little time on these each day is all that is needed. Don’t forget there are still challenges being set on TT Rockstars - Mrs Wood has put an achievement assembly on our facebook page so you can see the winners for the week!  Also make sure you take some time to do Mathletics, Numbots, Readiwriter and Spellodrome. These are fun websites that will help you to keep developing your skills while you are at home.

Some other helpful websites for parents of younger children are Phonics Play and Oxford Owl. Free resources and games are available on both of these sites.

Amazon have cancelled all subscriptions to books and audio stories for children of all ages, so children everywhere are able to stream an incredible collection of stories. All stories are free to stream on desktops, laptops, phones and tables using the following link: https://stories.audible.com/start-listen

We know some families have started a daily routine of school work for a couple of hours in the morning followed by fun time in the afternoons. We think it’s a good idea to try to keep a little structure to your days. It’s definitely a bonus that the sun is shining so most of us can be in the garden and go for a walk. Joe Wicks’ daily PE lessons on YouTube are a great way to start the day. If you haven’t tried this already, be prepared, it’s exhausting!

Your teachers are trying hard to keep in touch via the learning platform, but we are experiencing a few technical problems, so please bear with us. Shhh, don’t tell the teachers we said this, but some of us are quite old and we don’t really know what we’re doing!

Parents, if children are having trouble logging onto the VLE please email us at head@leftwichprimary.cheshire.sch.uk and we will pass on your questions to teachers and Mrs Dean to see if we can help.

Please look after yourselves and your grown-ups. We know it won’t be easy for you not to see your friends or some of your relatives and you will feel sad, and maybe cross, at times. But remember your grown-ups are also missing their friends and relatives. Try to be patient with each other - kindness makes us all stronger!

We are missing you all! We will keep in touch using our website and VLE. Look out for the dog blog, Elsie is missing you all too!

Take care everyone.
