First day of science week
Date: 16th Mar 2020 @ 3:55pm
Today has been a busy day ful of PE!
We started the morning by talking about how important it is to stay hydrated. We wrote down our diets from yesterday and calculated the water content of the different foods, discussing how we gain hydration from food aswell as drinks. The class also tried to guess the percentage of water that makes up our body.
After breaktime, we conducted our own investigation into how exercise affects heart rate. The children completed 6 different stations and took their BPM at each one. They then plotted their findings on a graph and wrote a conclusion.
We then took part in an exercise class led by Joe Wicks (not in person unfortunately!) and completed 100 laps around the track in five minutes.
After lunch, we had our session with Pete Mitchell where we learnt the importance of communication and trust when participating in sport with our teammates. Thank you to the parents that came along to help, and to beat the class!
